Franco transferred from disbanded Mahindra United to Churchill Brothers S.C. during the transfer window before the 2010-11 I-League season. His first season with Churchill though was hampered with injuries so he only was able to play in eight games throughout his first season with the club, but when he did come on his play impressed many people and he still was able to earn a national team call up.
Franco made his international debut for India against Pakistan on March 23rd 2011 coming on as a substitute for Gouramangi Singh. India won against Pakistan 3-1. He then started for India in his second match for them against Turkmenistan on March 25th 2011, the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
